It doesn’t contain nasty additives like salt, grains and sugar as some other cat foods do. The only additives Blink! uses are vitamins and minerals to make their food nutritionally complete.
You can buy it online, in supermarkets or sign up for Blink!’s subscription service and they’ll deliver it to your door every month.
It seems cats and their owners like it too as they’re highly rated on Trustpilot.

About Blink! Cat Food
Blink! are a British cat food company based in Crick, Nottinghamshire. They offer a cat and kitten food subscription service. Delivering your feline friend’s food to your door every month.
Their mission is to;
“Make nourishing cat food that looks after our cat’s health & wellbeing…”
By providing a better option than the cat food you find on supermarket shelves.

If they could hold a pen, of course!
As Blink! is a subscription service first, you won’t find all their cat food varieties in the supermarket. That said, you can find limited stock in Pets at Home and Some supermarkets and on Amazon.

They produce food for kittens and cats and are available in pouches with either jelly or gravy.
It comes in the following flavours;
Kitten:
At the time of writing, the kitten food only comes in jelly and in 4 flavours;
- Chicken & turkey fillets

Adult:
The adult food comes in a much bigger range of flavours;
Jelly:
- Flaked salmon & chicken fillets

Sourcing & Manufacturing
All farm sources follow the Five Freedoms. These are crucial for ensuring the good welfare of food-producing animals.
There are a couple of exceptions;
- Tuna isn’t native to British seas, so they have to go further afield.
- They use Norwegian Salmon. Likely due to the importance of responsible and sustainable fishing and salmon farming. All the fish Blink! use is from Marine Stewardship Council sustainable sources.
It’s not only using British meat and fish from farms with assured animal welfare that Blink! pride themselves on. The food is also grain-and cereal free, and cooked gently to keep the goodness in.
Blink! Cat Food Recalls
As far as we could find, Blink! hasn’t had any cat food recalls to date.

Positive Reviews
Here are the three most recent positive reviews of Blink! cat food:
Super Soft Fur and a Very Happy Kitten
“Very happy with our Blink! monthly subscription. Brilliant customer service and I love the personalised touch with each box. My kitten absolutely LOVES this cat food. Occasionally I’ll change brands and he turns his nose up and doesn’t eat it! Every time I give him Blink! it’s an empty bowl and he always goes back looking for more :-)…”

East, Good Food
“When moving my kitten onto adult food he became really fussy and we struggled to find a food he would eat. We were recommended the blink trial box and low found he loved the tuna flavour. Blink make the process really easy for you, we simply buy all tuna every time. They email discount codes occasionally and in our most recent box got a toy and some extra food. We love using them and love that they are a good quality food for our boy…”

Such Good Quality, Nutritional Food
“I started my cat on Blink cat food 3 months ago. Such good quality, nutritional food. I really like the Blink team as when I ordered salmon flakes and my cat didn’t like the food, they were so kind in replacing the products. Also, send samples and little mouse toy for my cat. They are just such kind, sweet people at Blink. Just wish my cat would eat all flavours but because she is such a fuss pot. I highly recommend Blink. Very good quality food…”

Negative Reviews
Here are three recent negative reviews of Blink! cat food. However, it’s important to bear in mind that these are individual people’s experiences. In all cases, Blink! responded to the concerned reviewers.
Carrageenan in Their Food!!!
“Although my cats eat Blink! I have recently found out that their food contains Carrageenan (carcinogen) and unfortunately, it’s not mentioned in their ingredients! That leaves you wondering how many other ingredients are included in their food that they don’t mention. Very disappointed in them and their values…”
– Christina Prassa, May 2022
Contains Tapioca and Brewer’s Yeast
“Lady loves her Blink. However, this rating and review is about the new gravy version, which contains tapioca and brewer’s yeast.
So, despite the fact that Lady did enjoy the chicken in gravy, I won’t be giving her any more. She spent the evening on my lap farting and the smell was AWFUL. Yesterday, I went out for the day, when I got home, the smell that greeted me when I opened the front door was, well, horrendous. I thought a skunk had got in, died and rotted in the 11 hours I’d been gone, but, no, it was Lady’s CLOSED litter box. The gravy sachet had worked through her system.
Today we had a vet appointment for her annual jab, so I spoke to the vet who confirmed my suspicion that it was the yeast which caused it.
I have to say, sadly, that if you add this to the regular food, I will have to start the search again for a food Lady likes and can tolerate…”

Hate Hermes/Evri
“I wouldn’t have ordered if I had known they use Hermes/Evri. I didn’t get my order and they are saying they can’t find my details…”
– Caroline Hickling, April 2022

Is Blink! Cat Food a Good Choice For My Cat?

Blink! is a high-quality cat food that’s rich in animal protein from meat, fish and poultry. It doesn’t contain the added grains, salt and sugar contained in some other cat foods.
One potential downside of Blink! cat and kitten food is that it’s only available as wet food. One factor that has a huge impact on a cat’s oral health is whether they eat dry or wet food.
While many cats enjoy or even prefer wet food, a wet food-only diet isn’t good for their teeth.
They need the friction of dry cat biscuits against their teeth to remove plaque and bacteria.
Although we do recommend Blink! cat food, we’d also recommend supplementing it with dry cat food from our list of the best dry cat foods.
