How Does Moodify Pet Work?
Moodify Pet uses what they call ‘White Scent Technology‘.
The ‘white’ part comes from the audio industry which created white noise. By mashing together different sounds, scientists were able to create a noise-cancelling effect.
White scent technology works in a similar way. By combining different smells, Moodify Pet has created a smell-cancelling effect.
In their words;
White Scent involves a clever activation of receptors in the olfactory bulb (that’s the organ in charge of sensing smell) to make your brain ‘think’ that the bad smell is gone.
The pendants themselves do have a smell though. It has a citrussy smell and while it’s quite strong when you take it out of the packet, it soon calms down. In fact, we found that once we hung the pendants up, we didn’t really smell them at all.

How We Tested
We tested a pack of two pendants with a ‘one-off purchase’.
We placed the first above our cat Milo’s litter tray. We wanted to push the second one show we chose a customer who has two litter boxes together.
The trickiest part was finding somewhere to hang the pendants at nose height. We ended up hanging them on these command hooks we stuck to the wall.
Depending on where you put your cat litter box, hanging a pendant might be easier.
Does Moodify Pet Actually Work?
Moodify Pet is surprisingly effective!
Even with one pendant over two litter boxes, it eliminated the whiff we used to smell as we walked past.
That said, while it reduces the stink when you’re close, scooping the litter, it doesn’t get rid of it completely.
Their website says you need to replace the pendant every two weeks. We found this t be pretty accurate.

Flaws But Not Deal Breakers
There are a couple of issues;
If you have litter boxes around the house, you’ll need one pendant per litter box. The more litter boxes you have, the more expensive it becomes. There are no discounts for buying larger quantities.
Talking of price, if you want to test the product with a one-off purchase, it’ll cost you £19.90. This is double the cost of signing up for their subscription. If you want to try Moodify Pet, we’d recommend signing up for their subscription service which is £9.90 a month. Then, if you decide you don’t want to carry on, cancel the subscription.
Finally, the pendants are quite delicate. As they’re made of clay they can break if you drop them. We only found this out when we dropped an old one while replacing it.
